Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge that we worship on the traditional land of the first people of San Francisco, CA: the Muwekma Ohlone, and the Ramaaytush Ohlone tribe. We acknowledge that these lands were taken through violence, manipulation, and without treaty. We recognize that the first people suffered genocide, colonization and enslavement during the Spanish, Mexican, and American eras.  We recognize too that this was often done through the cover of Christianity and the doctrine of discovery.  We lament and repent of this evil in the name of Christ.  Their struggle for justice continues to this day.  We pay our respects to the first peoples of the past, present, and future, on this land.  We invite you to visit the links below for more information on the first peoples of the land our church was established and ways you can support their work and life.
