The Yoke Choy Club celebrated their 98th anniversary on Oct. 26, 2019 at a luncheon at Basque Cultural Center in South San Francisco. 90 people attended. In 1921, a group of 11 young men met at Chinese Congregational Church to form a club. They named it Yoke Choy Club. It means literally “disseminate” and “knowledge”. The purpose of the club was to promote Christianity, athletics, music and social activities.
